Carroll County Veteran Affairs offers assistance for a wide range of benefits to our veterans, service members and their families. This includes Federal and State benefits as well as temporary county benefits to qualifying indigent veterans and their families. County benefits include rent, utilities, transportation for medical care, medications and burial expenses.
The Carroll County Veterans Affairs Administrator is available in the office from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Appointments are encouraged.
Eligibility for county benefits:
- The individual must be a legal resident of Carroll County
- Have been discharged from the US Armed Forces under "Honorable Conditions"
- Served during a "War Time Period"
Application must be made in person at the office. Application forms are available online.
Veteran ID Cards are available at the Carroll County Veteran Affairs Office. Please call our office to schedule an appointment during the hours of 8 am-4:30 pm. The Veteran MUST bring a copy of their DD214 with them to the appointment.
