On Friday, October 22nd, a COVID-19 vaccine clinic will be held from 9 am to 11:30 am at Carroll County Public Health. Moderna, Pfizer, and J&J will be available. 3rd booster doses of Pfizer will be available. Please see below for information on boost doses.  Masks required. Appointments preferred for boost doses. Call 712-794-5408.

CCPH is located in the St. Anthony Regional Hospital on the 2nd floor. Find CCPH down the hall from the cafeteria and between Iowa Heart Center and the Wolfe Eye Clinic.

Please see the guidelines from the CDC on the Pfizer boost dose.
Effective immediately, CDC recommends:

? People 65 years and older and residents in long-term care settings should receive a booster shot of Pfizer-BioNTech’s COVID-19 vaccine at least 6 months after their Pfizer-BioNTech primary series.
? People aged 50–64 years with underlying medical conditions should receive a booster shot of Pfizer-BioNTech’s COVID-19 vaccine at least 6 months after their Pfizer-BioNTech primary series.
? People aged 18–49 years with underlying medical conditions may receive a booster shot of Pfizer-BioNTech’s COVID-19 vaccine at least 6 months after their Pfizer-BioNTech primary series, based
on their individual benefits and risks.
? People aged 18-64 years who are at increased risk for COVID-19 exposure and transmission because of occupational or institutional setting may receive a booster shot of Pfizer-BioNTech’s COVID-19 vaccine at least 6 months after their Pfizer-BioNTech primary series, based on their individual benefits and risks.
These recommendations are ONLY for those who originally received two-dose series of Pfizer’s COVID vaccine in the primary series. Booster doses might be recommended in the future for those who received COVID vaccines manufactured by Moderna or Janssen (Johnson & Johnson), or those who received a different mRNA
vaccine for each dose in the primary series, but ACIP did not address these situations.
CDC will also evaluate with similar urgency available data in the coming weeks to swiftly make additional recommendations for other populations or people who got the Moderna or Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
If you have questions, please call CCPH at 712-794-5408.
